Hi,

I have developed and application to retreive information from BF2 and BF2142 servers, (along stats and other stuff...), i managed to gather all the information i need, and as part of it, i use a wrapper of the gslist in order to retreive the list of available servers, but i said to myself, hey, this Luigi guy has been cool enough to put the code as public, so ill take a look at it, and while doing so, well i think my brain was damaged a little bit over there, since i didnt get what the hell was going on there.... besides from the fact that i dont have a C compiler.... so i was only trying to follow the code on my head, so that didnt help much either.... (and im not that good in C anyways, i work on VB.net)

So i was wondering, if you guys (the ones that have unveiled the misteries of it) can give me a detailed explanation of how does it works, im not from US, so i dont really give a shit about US law here... if that could be a problem. And my application is not comercion its totally free.... can be downloaded from this page... screenshot on that page too.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

If you know only VB it's too much hard to understand a C program 8-)

The following is a thread about Gslist and VB here but I don't know if it can help you:

/viewtopic.php?t=160

Anyway gslist and its code is open source under GPL which is a bit different from closed source free.
