I m curious about something.
I m using q3dirtav on my own server.
I can download all the files in the current folder and in the subfolders.
but I cant download any file above the current folder.
ex : ../game.info
i can download dcmod/server.cfg

I suggest you to use procmon for viewing in real time the exact file that the server tries to load:

filter:
path - contains - game.info (add)
select only the disk operation (the other are useless for your test)

it will show any access or tentative of accessing any file containing "game.info" in its name

The thing I dont understand is :
When I use /rcon dir ..\..\ I see the files in the folder ..\..\
When I try to download them , /download ..\..\file.cfg , the game exits the server , it goes to main menu and says the file was not found for autodownload.
and yet , the file is there.
i tried on my friend's computer , the same thing , i don't understnad

Same thing. And if there are spaces in the file name or path, it seems you can't download it because the path truncates after the space.
