CoD4 Key2Pb connection seeds.

Hey,

I've been using alot of aluigi's toolz but I got myself intrested in the PbGUID's, when I saw "key2pb" I immediately downloaded it, but now I've found out that it doesn't work (anymore)?

I'm not sure if it's mee or not, but the guids that Key2Pb are giving me (using are not equal to those from "/pb_myguid".
I used connection seed 0x00b684a3 and 0x00051a56.
I also tried to make a GUID without entering a connection seed, gave me alot of GUID's, but none of them where the real one?

Is it me? Is it PunkBuster? Is it the connection seed?

Any help is appreciated

the correct syntax is:

key2pb YOUR_CDKEY 0x00b684a3 0x00051a56

there are some topics on this forum about this type of argument.
and no, punkbuster can't change it otherwise all the old bans or other pbguid-related services will be lost

cdkey is lowercase without "-"?

You must only use the first 16 characters of the key, all CAPS, and no dashes.

The one reported by /pb_myguid can be found with: key2pb ABCD1234ABCD1234 0x00b684a3 0x00051a56

I think this guid is used to check for pb bans.

The one servers use to verify the validity of your cdkey can be found with: key2pb ABCD1234ABCD1234 0x00b684a3

And this guid is just used for checking if a cd key is valid/in use/etc... I could have that backwards though.
