Hi,
As you might know Cod5 has Co-op in it, this co-op however has never worked for me. It always fails at "Unable to get our online address information" i have tried every possible fix for this (enabling services, disabling services, opening ports etc etc.) now i've spent over 10 hours on fixing this problem and it's still not working. So i was wondering if this check could be removed out of the .exe so i dont get stuck at this, enabling me to play the game! So i hoped somebody here could point me in the right direction or just fix the exe for me..
Thanks

it looks like a connection problem, probably you are behind a router or NAT.
so configure your router to forward all the ports between 28930 and 28960 (or in a similar high range) and the 3074.
this is what was suggested in a topic online and it's the only explanation because that error message you see doesn't come from cod5 but from the master server

Are you sure? as i do have those ports open (and many others) but it still not working. also i try'd sniffing all of the ports cod is using with commview opened all of them but still nothing..

As i said ive turned off several services too, as some posts suggested that ssdp was interfering with cod5. so i turned ssdp off. had no luck with that either. try'd same thing with upnp.

it's just a classical communication problem, the master server doesn't receive your connections/packets or viceversa. only that.
in case you are interested:

oh, in case you have a firewall check if you are filtering some types of packets and in the router configuration check that those ports opened for forwarding cover both UDP and TCP

I think i'm gonna cry.
I forwarded all ports from 500-30000 to my pc
opened all ports wan-lan and lan-wan
and have no firewall on my pc.

still its not working, do you have any other suggestions? or should i just give up :P

are you 100% of not being behind NAT? (in which case you can do nothing)
some ISPs and moreover those of the mobile networks do it and many users usually don't know it.
for example if you start a cod5 server on your computer (or where you have this problem) can the other people of other ISPs on internet play on your local server?

i assume you are using vista, yes ?
this is why i have my custom xp (900mb installed), no firewall, no av, even no security center = no such problems (i have zonealarm security suite instead).
