ventrilo_proxy is a debugging tool (a proxy intended as a monitor for viewing the decrypted data), not what you think.

what did you use to route ventrilo into TOR ?
i suggest my favorite, proxyfirewall + proxy server/s on your choice (can be TOR too).

So your saying, your just using proxy firewall to connect to a banned vent server?

no, i dont use that silly program (ventrilo). however ProxyFirewall should work on all programs, it is not a proxy itself, so you still need proxy servers. PF simply forces any program to use a proxy and allows you to change and manipulate between proxys..etc. it means you still need a proxy server that would work. problem is that 99% of proxy servers are very slow and prolly impossible to use for voice, but should be enough to connect. you can also add TOR into PF, so PF routes it thru TOR.

im not sure, but i think that ventrilo does ip check upon login. so if you use proxy to connect and then take it off after you are logged in, then you should stay in there and are able to talk. at least this method have worked on several chatrooms and other apps (including few games).

what exactly tor got to do with any of this ? socks compatibility or what ?
does it work, if you google for proxy servers and pick one that works and then use ProxyFirewall to route vent thru that proxy ?
