I have been a fan of your work for ages, and you helped me set up my own Offline BF2 Stats Server, using your GS Server :)
However we have moved on from BF2, and COD4, has a server log parser. Which works well for creating stats.
However more games are coming out with Games for Windows Live (GFWL), eg Fuel, GTA4.
Is there anyway to emulate a GFWL Server. Like what was done with GS Server ?
Or is GFWL encoded, encrypted and impossible to bypass.
Can it be done ?
I have seen here they have bypass the checks, http://teknogods.com/
However is there a way to emulate the GFWL Server, where users at the LAN (with no internet access) have a account they authenticate with a dummy GFWL Server ?

Cheers

I've never used Games for windows, but if they use some sort of SSL Certificate which is somewhat the standard today it may be more difficult to put a dummy server

personally I have never worked on GFWL (it's probably installed in my virtual machine, don't remember) anyway it doesn't sound like a quick&easy job and personally I'm not much interested.
sorry

whats the point of this ? to be able to play in LAN with illegal copys ?
i have never even tried to play any of the GFWL games in LAN, so i have no idea if its possible if you don't have original game.

usually people use my gs_login_server tool for creating LAN partys with games like Battlefield 2 (both in real LAN or on Internet), so this is the point

There are a few, one we have no internet at the LAN, when we had internet there it was a distraction. The LAN works real well without it.
The second reason (and most important) isto foster a ladder system were points are only scored at the LAN, so at the end of the year all there stats are held on the LAN Server, for prize giving that way the more LANs you attend the more chance of winning a prize. It worked real well when we emulated at GS Server years back, and people were getting unlocks etc on our BF2 LAN Servers. It stops people levelling up in between LANs, then turning up with all the unlocks.
We currently have a Trackmania Server that keeps track of all races, for each LAN. Would love to gave the ability to go it for other games. Looks like the Game Developers like this system look at the free games that do this, Quake Live, Battlefield Heroes.
Hopefully when they release for use on LAN (Neither has yet), we will be able to run our own ladders.

I don't condone Priracy, however having a standalone unlock, reward system, do make for better LANs !

Sorry for the long message.

PS Alugi thanks for the support over the years :)

Cheers
