Hi all, I play with racer (from http://racer.nl), you can add car and tracks.
For the cars, some 3d models are in .DOF (there is an import/export plugin in zmodeler 1) and others are in .AR (an archive crypted), in this file, there are .Dof but i can't uncrypt it with softwares.
there is the crypter here : http://www.racer.nl/reference/buildar.htm

there is a file with .dof : http://www.tracciontrasera.es/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=21

there is a file with .ar: http://www.tracciontrasera.es/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=28

Someone can try to unlock .ar files please ?

thanks all

i'm sorry if my English is bad, i'm French

the files are simply compressed, not encrypted.
I will release the tool tomorrow

I think it is unix archive format you are talking about.
.ar
I did a quick search, but didn't find any tools which could extract .ar in windows so Luigi's oncoming tool will be quite useful :)

Offtopic - This game seems interesting, but it keeps crashing on me. As soon as it suppouse to load car model, it crashes. I also didn't find anything useful from google or their site to fix it.
if anybody has any ideas...here's the shot.

no, it's definitely not the AR unix utility :)
I review a bit the code of my tool and I'm going to release it quickly

thanks,
but i have a problem how use it please, because when i open it, it's closed automatically in less than one second.

if racer doesn't work, you can install "vcredist_x86.exe" or "VCRedist_x86_VS2008.exe" and with it, if it doesn't work you can try the 0.5.0 (or higher in 0.5.X)

i'm sorry if my English is bad

it's a console tool: http://aluigi.org/about.htm#howuse

usage example:

racerarext.exe data.ar c:\new_folder

come on, it's a normal console tool, it's obvious that if you don't specify where is located the data.ar file it cannot magically guess it. then there is the error of c:\new folder written without the " chars (like "c:\new folder").

if you don't want to play with the console the following is the quickest and simplest solution:
- create a new folder in c:\
- put racerarext.exe and data.ar in that folder
- now create a new file in that folder with notepad and call it run.bat
- in this file put the following command (all the command, included the final dot): racerarext data.ar .
- double click on run.bat and all the files will be extracted in that folder automatically
