Hi Aluigi.

1) Is there any way to crash besides "codmsgboom", "q3infoboom", "Force crash"?
2) How to crash servers which has JA+ MOD?

I just tried almost all way. I have 2 programs(q3infoboom, q3fill) which can crash server and 2 configs(force crash and codmsgboom)

Thx.

ive put everything i could at ja+mod, i havent found a way to crash it....
ja+mod is pretty solid...

jk3 1.01, u probably cannot crash any of those servers because most mods fix everything and most servers/jaded.exe's have patches on crashes.

q3infoboom crashes mod ja+2.2 until 2.4 (i didnt find a way to crash a mod 2.4 server, but i heard of a program that is build on infoboom but much stronger)

that affirmation of Eragon and the one from you Anle ("My friend knows how to intercept packets") have a nomination for the bullshit of the month :)
please avoid FUD, words by mounth, myths, legends, leprechauns and so on

hahahaha lol, don't have to be so harsh on them, luigi :P

eragon, usually it is not the mod that protects against q3infoboom, it is a patched jaDed.exe/jk2Ded.exe
so do not assume the different versions of mods have protect against infoboom :)

actually, i don't think a mod can fix infoboom through the source code, can they?
isn't it only through the jk2ded/jaded?

yeah only in the exe because the fix must be placed in the core engine (the mods handled the in-game part of the engine).
and the fix can be the limiting of the data in the functions which handle getinfo and getstatus (like made by the official patches) or through the limiting of the incoming \xff\xff\xff\xff packets in general (as I do with my work-around because is the only way for doing it on any game using almost the same pattern)

Actually, that *is* possible, if the mod alters the engine, which isn't that hard to do, assuming you have the required knowledge and skills to do so. Of course, this does require the mod to be an executable (meaning its a dll or .so and not a qvm), but considering this topic is about JA, and JA uses dll's, then yes it is possible.

well, sry for my unclearly words.... but its fact, that you can't crash a JA+ Mod 2.4 Server with infoboom..i dont care why :) @aluigi, i though, i can tell here about some new myth's :P

Back to topic: I really dont know about some new programs..and im searching for them too.

But Shadow and Me "created" a script that, makes a server not startable again, if you have RCON. But im not sure if that really works :P, we have try'ed it on a few server and there it works, our idea, to write the serverconfig in all important files, with rcon writeconfig for linux servers... and theres the problem that it really need rcon :P, we get them just with download 1 or callvote.

you can delete my post, or change it to another topic, because its probably nothing about non-rcon way to crash servers.

Best Regards, Eragon

If you wanna overwrite exact files you can do this with the writeconfig function. You can only overwrite files in the homepath of the server. So for example type in writeconfig 1234. Then you search with the command "path" an "dir" the file that you have created. The directory where you find the file is the homepath of the server. So now you can list the files in the folder with "dir +path of the home directory" and overwrite the files you want. Example in the directory is the "assets0.pk3" file than type "writeconfig assets0.pk3" and you overwrite it with the server.cfg! The administrator must know reupload the file manually ;)!
Can any one tell me what the "touchfile" command do?
