It is saved somewhere in the documents and settings, where the msn keeps other settings (like window position..etc). enable show hidden files and folders, and then look for windows, msn, messenger under your documents and settings.
you can test, by removing certain files (just drag to your desktop) and then run your messenger, if the password is gone, then you got the right folder.
however if you want to recover a password, then use MessenPass (google it). messenpass will show you all the stored passwords for msn and for some other programs.
