hi I have a server root linux wolfenstein enemy teritory 2.55 I wanted to change the configuration of the file noquatre qagame.mp.i386.so but I have a problem with linux ubuntu 8.10 deskstop how can I open a file to modify and close the same format thank you in advance.

uhmmm do you mean a hex editor?
exist various hex editors for linux like ghex or khexedit (both gui) or terminal based like ht/hte
