Is their any kind of bug exist in W:ET based on Quake 3 engine where anyone can lag your server and server crashes? My server is getting lagged and then it crashes. Someone is doing that but I don't know who is. Anyone willing to help me to show me what should i see in logs to catch the IP of the person who is doing that. Any help would be much appreciated.

It's crashed more then 6 times in last 24 hours. Thanks for the help.

what is the version of your server?
what are ALL the unofficial patches and/or work-arounds you have already implemented in it?
does it run on Windows or Linux?

well i would turn auto reboot off. so when somebody crashes it, then last thing you should see in log is the crash. (least one of the last things)

I have no auto reboot. If you have something msn or anything where i could talk to you it would be big help for me.

Server is linux based. W;ET 2.55. It does have your q3fix. If you can help me seeing my logs it would be much helpful and more then 200+ players will be thankful to you.

if it would be linux, i would suggest Luigi's proxocket, which would log all data (if put into server's folder), but dunno about linux. im sure that Luigi can suggest some tool that can log the data in server.
or if its rented server (not built on your own), then you have to ask them to log data.

if you don't have a particular or old mod the remaining problems are the q3msgboom which doesn't have a real fix (for example the only work-around I gave was to remove the "vsay" command) and a bug which affects only ET and for some unknown reasons is almost unknown and not indexed on security websites (mah).
the only "trace" I have found about it (after that one of my contacts talked about it less than one week ago) is the following:

in any case I suggest you to find an ET community where you and other admins can discuss about these and other problems because personally I have almost no knowledge of this game and the only fixes/work-around I created were those on my website.

But using q3msgboom leaves trace in the console log right? Their is nothing in console log. I actually have no idea what i should look in console log to catch that player or IP. I have also posted this in punksbusted forums and everywhere no one knows much. The only hope is you.

you don't need to watch the console logs, you need to test and stress your server first and take the needed actions: if you don't do it someone will do it for you (maliciously).

then punkbusted is just the last place on the earth on which asking similar support, vulnerabilities have nothing to do with cheating moreover if you are using an old version of the server.

it also maybe a server error, maybe it's not done on purpose at all, its possible that your server simply has some bug on itself and crashes from time to time (in case you don't see anything suspecious in logs)
