welll yeah, most of the extensions do indeed work...

they have a few bugs with firefox 3 though... sometimes it doesn't exit so u have to alt, ctrl, delete and go to process list and end the program yourself, otherwise it takes up like 80% of ur CPU doing nothing... it only happens like 1 out of 20 times u exit firefox (i exit and open it like 50 times a day)

FF3 is ok. It seems to be sort of a memory hog. I have barely any bookmarks and no addons, and its taking up ~85MB of ram right now while I am just posting this reply. One time, it was so bad that it was causing my World of Warcraft fps to drop, and I had to close it.

I just installed sp3 the other day too. Not sure what they changed, but I didn't notice anything different.

guess im not gonna try it, for now.
actually ff2 has some fuck-ups too. using 'stealther' and 'domain details' will result in not working stealther, they conflict. my fox takes 50mb atm, with all the add-ons/extensions.

idk what that is in mb but... yeah...
it even says for the minimum requirements of firefox 3 is 64 MB RAM

guess its 'memory for speed' huh ?
can you guys test some add-ons and extensions ?
tamper data
stealther
cookie editor
poster
hackbar
download helper
foxclocks
proxysel
server spy
domain details
screenshot grabber

those are add-ons/extensions that MUST work for me. otherwise ill stick with the ff2. i assume that i cant install ff3 while still having ff2 ?! if its possible without having any conflicts ill give it a shot.

all or almost all the extensions work on both ff2 and ff3.
if you don't want to install ff3 you can place it on a virtual machine or install it in another folder.
here I have both ff2 and ff3 in two different folders and they share all the configuration and the extensions 8-)

they share the settings because these configurations are located in the user's folder (this is made for per-user settings and for security reasons)

dont know about it ... usually it fucks up when something uses same settings. maybe ill try ff3.

btw about SP3, is there anything useful ? (too lazy to read about it, its microsoft after all .. blablablablah)
as far as i know..microsoft updates only fuck up the windows .. and BADLY. it starts updating whenever the fuck it wants and then reboots in middle of your work .. crashing everything and then it whines that files are missing and crashes again. had that LONG time ago when my automatic updates was on. and it also overwrited all of my tweaks.

tried it .. and it SUCKS. never gonna get it again. it has all those childish effects whcih only lag more (not that it matters, but on SLOW machines it would matter).
takes even less memory than ff2 (cuz of add-ons, 40000k)

ok HALF of my add-ons doesnt work ! proxysel doesnt work, which is one of the important ones for me. domain details doesnt work, server spy doesnt work ...nothing works i use lol.
ok stealther works and cookie editior and few others, but the ones i use doesnt work. now FF3 updated my fireftp and it doesnt work in FF2...argh lol.

gonna so uninstall FF3. and most important ... i see no changes, only change seem to be this childish look of FF3.

it started to whine about some certifications when i opened the add-ons ..every time i opened it popped up some stupid message whining that something is wrong with certifications.
