Hi, admin! I recently found out about gslist and I really like it.I need some help with it. I'm using Gslist 0.8.9 and win XP sp3 .It does not ping the servers which it finds.I see only ping -1 for all of them. I can ping them using ping command just fine, so the problem is not with my network configuration - ICMP requests are allowed, but gslist.exe does not want to ping. What do I have to do to fix it? Thanks

you see ping equal to -1 because the -X option gets the informations directly from the master server so obviously there is no ping data in it. if you want to ping the servers you must do it manually with other tools or using the -Q option, example:
gslist -n wot -Q 0
use gslist -Q to know the available types of queries (probably you would like the query 8 that covers more games)

ah you talk about the web interface! in this case:
gslist -t 1 -w 127.0.0.1 80
because -Q is for the command-line queries

Thanks. That works. One more thing. Is there a way to make web interface to show the ping of the favorite servers. It does not show any information about the added servers.I see only their ips.No info about the current game, players, ping and so on. Is there a way to force update of the status of the favorite servers?

if no informations are showed then it means that the port you inserted in the IP section is the game port and not the query port. I give you an example.
I have selected "America's Army" and received the list of available servers. one of them was 66.45.248.203:1716 so I went in the IP section and added it through the "Favorite" button. but when I went in the Fav section it showed red.
so I reinserted the IP but this time using the port 1717 and finally it worked because 1717 is the port that replies to the information queries.
I know this is not a good thing and indeed I guess I will adjust it in the next version, unfortunately I didn't support much the web interface for two reasons: - it was a madness of a moment in which I wanted to realize a similar thing - I didn't receive much feedbacks about it (which means that not much people use that feature)
so for the next version I could add both the following things: - a "favorite" button at the right of each server so that will be a joke to add them - display the query port

ah, if you have other suggestions this is the right moment.
I have just finished to apply the 2 things I talked about in the previous post so there is place to some other small improvements :)

Yes, that would be awesome.I think web interface is the way to go for many users. So it is very valuable. I do not know if this is important , but I found out that gslistweb.exe can not be used to show ping of the servers and when I try to launch a game from gslistweb.exe it crashes. The game is located on a external drive, connected to the pc via usb cable.
If the game is located on the local drive , I can start it without any troubles . There is no problem when the web interface is started with this command "gslist -t 1 -w 127.0.0.1 80" . I can start the same game located on a external drive. I wanted to let you know about this bug in the gslistweb.exe

for the pings unfortunately I can do nothing because it's the only downside of using the enctypex method: it's faster than any other existent way but the master server doesn't return ping times (that in any case would be related to its location). but with -t 1 it should show them without problems, or not?
while for the crash can you tell me in what offset/address gslistweb crashes? it's strange that it crashes because the location of the game shouldn't affect it anyway let me know if the windows error dialog shows other info

Yeah, gslist -t 1 -w 127.0.0.1 80 works fine.I can see the pings.I checked again about gslistweb.exe .It looks like I was mistaking. gslistweb.exe can launch a game with no problems.Sorry for that.
If you can add favorite button to the web interface it will be awesome!
