Hi, I am just wondering if anyone has set up this for cod waw. I have seen servers that say 46/48 but if you go in them then there is no one in it. I have talked to the owner of the server but he wont tell me what he did so I am trying to find out. I found this and figured it is a possibility that he might be using it. Is it possible to set this up to act like this and if so could some one help me do it?

Luigi looked at it, but the Demonware protocol makes it a nightmare. You could probably use sudppipe to edit the response packet your server sends to clients telling them how many people are connected.

I haven't played around with sudppipe, so maybe Luigi or one of the other guys can give you more info on how to do it. The basic info is that the client sends a getinfo string to your server (hex string of the packet data): ffffffff676574696e666f20787878
And your server replies with the info with something like so: \challenge\xxx\protocol\101\hostname\ServerName\mapname\mp_outskirts\clients\24\sv_maxclients\25\gametype\tdm\pure\1\maxPing\300\ff\1\hc\1\hw\2\mod\0\voice\1\pb\1
So you would intercept your server's reply, and edit the "clients\24\sv_maxclients\25" part with whatever you want to show.
This part, fortunately for you, is not handled by Demonware; however, the master server list retrieval and connection packets are.

sudppipe is not the tool you are looking for this job. maybe writing a plugin for proxocket could be the solution but if you don't know a programming language then you can do nothing
