Hi,
I run a very large public ventrilo server speedx codec we are in the top 10 on gametracker. From time to time we get a guy who comes in with a high pitch sound that makes ventrilo crash. Like a high ring or a buzz kinda thing. I don't see any similarities between IPs so I think different people do this trick.(colorado,california,florida)etc. when theres no server admin online they sit in the lobby and just play this sound and everyone disconnects immediatly(freezing clients).(had to logon with vent muted to ban these ppl) I had to mute the default channel to fix this.However they still do this via private chat and disconnect others in private channels or limited user channels.

Is there any fix or defense to this tool or trick or any information at all such as the name of what there using?

the ventspeex bug I found months ago was similar but don't know if the effects were exactly like you say.

do you have the latest ventrilo server (private) or only the latest one available on their website?

in any case I can't help with the fix, so it's mainly curiosity
