Hello, I am new to these forums and found it via searching for the bf2fp program.
The population of BF2142 is dwindling. We are down to only a handful of servers. However, I still have a few individuals who seek to play (for awards, for fun, etc). We have been using a technique that allows us to start servers with less than the required six:
1)Enter the server with our accounts (2/6 necessary for start) 2)Extend the minimum player restart delay to 999999999999 (The server stays up even if the population falls below the minimum required). 3)Use the +multi 1 command to load up other accounts and connect to the server. Since we do this from the same box, PunkBuster will catch and kick us within 5-7 seconds of loading in, but it's enough time for us to get the server started. Once it's up, that's all that matters. We then rejoin after the PB kicks and play.
However, it is a very tedious process, and becomes very difficult to time properly (especially if one process decides to hog the processor and jump ahead of the others).
So we were wondering if there was a way to programmatically send packets (like in the bf2DoS) to create temporary valid connections, enough to get the server started?
If there is a program out there, could anyone point us to it? Or a way to achieve what we are seeking to do? We'd greatly appreciate any and all help!
Cordially, Alexander Kaine
