I'm trying to figure out how to decrypt some of ASR's HDV,INI and TBC files.

I know you have decrypted the GMT files but is there a way to read these files like in rFactor?

Hi Luigi. Im using rfactordec for arca files and works prefect. Could you tell me how can i encrypt the modified files now? Maybe you must to make an encrypter too... Thanks a lot. CYA!

the "official" way for rfactor (as far as I know) is contacting the developers at ISI, but obviously I guess doesn't exist an official way for ARCA.

technically the encryption algorithm should be a micro-modification (probably putting a set of instructions before another) of the decryption one anyway I'm not interested because I'm versus these types of encryptions and then, being totally useless because it can be decrypted, it's only a loss of time.

OK, i see... i only asking because i saw your encrypter/decrypter for wtcc game... i made some modifications to my arca game and i can??t use them now... and i dont know how to make an encrypter of course jeje...

Arca will only run encrypted .gmt files.

So a tool to encrypt would be usefull.

Rfactor will run encrypted or not encrypted .gmt files so there no real use for encrypter for it.

But arca only will run with encrypted .gmt files so to make your own track work in game you need to encrypt them.

The people that made game will not encrypt the .gmt files for you so your stuck with what they gave you.

I must be doing something wrong, I cant even read the readme correctly.
When I activate the rfactorgmdec.exe a small cmd window appears and disappears rapidly. When I open the rfactorgmdec.c i get command lines.

Can somebody help please, i just need to research some HDV files thanks.

it's a command-line tool, take a look at the following generic guide lines:

probably it's not necessary an encrypter.

first check if the game accepts the files in clear text as they are now (I guess you have already checked this).

then try to add the following line at their beginning:

the result must look like the file "GameData/Tracks/ARCA_Daytona/Daytona200/DaytonaARCA200.aiw".

then if this doesn't work too (theoretically it must work) I can write a re-encrypter

and so? have you done these tests or not?
