Hello Luigi.
What other crashes are there other than: q3infoboom sof2boom multircon vsay_team aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ignore 123456789 [thought that doesn't matter for me]
I have already blocked all of the above with editing sof2mp-test.exe + making a pk3 file.
What else is there? My server is still being crashed even though I've patched against all those + tested them all to see if the patch worked.
Thanks, XILLAX ------------- Demobase.eu

do you run a custom mod? if yes, what? are you using sof2 1.03 gold? what are the exact error messages (or latest log entries) or effects on your server when it goes down? have you tested your server with both the default q3infoboom and "q3infoboom -q getstatus"?

OK, just did a full diagnostic and found that it protects against: sof2boom multircon vsay_team q3infoboom EXCEPT getstatus for q3infoboom it stops all of these: getinfo, getchallenge, connect, ipAuthorize, rcon, disconnect
How come it doesn't stop getstatus? because its limited to 512 instead of 320 ?
Btw, about those stats you asked me:
I use no mod. Sof2 version is SoF2MP-Test error message: "Sys_SendPacket: bad address type"
So what I've done: downloaded the q3infofix.lpatch Attemped to patch my current exe, says "there are no bytes to change in this file"
I know there is a way to stop it since I know of 1 server which is protected against them all, infact he used MY .exe but just added in the getstatus fix. Now he won't share it since he has fun crashing all other servers to try and make his popular [failure].
Thanks, XILLAX

my q3infofix solves/worksaround the q3infoboom bug completely included the getstatus variant. the fact that the patcher doesn't find bytes to change is a problem because means that the patch has not been applied, but it's enough normal because you are using SoF2MP-Test... the demo! anyway try the following and let me know if you still have bad effects with q3infoboom: http://aluigi.org/patches/old/sof2test-fix.zip

Yo Luigi,
I don't know what the problem was but when i downloaded a brand new sof2mp-test.exe, then the patch worked, since then I've also done multircon disabler fix & allowed pk3s.
Anyone who wants this fully protected(i think) patch for sof2mp test don't hesitate to contact me on this forum, pm or w/e.
Thanks, XILLAX

ok, I have just read the update on your forum (probably was a "nice" thing to add a link to my patches section, not only in respect of the time I have spent in doing this custom fix although my "anti old versions" policy but mainly to tell to who is interested where finding the open source fixes and what they do) so I think that you have deeply tested it and it works, right?
Anyway, about that thing of that admin who has that server and crashes the others, would be good to make some names
