I understand that you don't know the C language but I can't lost time explaining everytime things which are already visible in my source code.
anyway sm.dat is complex to parse, because it's composed by various binary fields

Your code doesn't successfully parse it... CuteFTP 8.0 must of changed something from the earlier version which your code is based from.

the latest 0.1.1 version has been built just over cuteftp 8.0, have you tried it?
