no it doesnt. today i had same thing on my e107 site, but about threads. it said that i have 46343323 topics in one sub-forum. i simply ran the check again under admin panel and that fixed it, but posting more topics or deleting few didnt help. count stayed same.
since its free forums, i doubt that its possible to run such checks (recount posts, recount topics ...etc), but that will fix it.

well whenever i see something that i usually think some1 hacked the website, because i remember on some leaderboards (like games) people used to tell me they did it and showed me to get up top :D
