I've read your article "Gamespy and me" http://aluigi.altervista.org/papers/gamespystory.txt.

I think that companies like Gamespy are killing the "white hackers" around the world. Unfortunly, I think that they are constantly attacked by kids and when they receive some alert, they dont care about the real objectives in that alert, even when the alert is sented by a security company like yours.

Well, why thanks? Gslist. It's a great work that helps many people. Its a perfect GNU application... Do you remember of the Richard Stallman history about the printer driver? Its like your situation with Gamespy. You want to help, but they don't think so...

...here's what i think about gamespy:
They don't care because...people will still buy they'r stuff...it doesn't even matter if they respond or not.

Kind a out of topic..but its same with microsoft...if somebody has problem/suggestion etc...they just dont care. actually in microsoft its really hard to find any kind of contact mail ...

The main problem is that the only target of these and other companies is making money, the rest is not important.
This can be also considered good (otherwise they are not private companies) but it's no longer good when you says bullshits (the "blackmail" story) and tries to pursue other people for your own errors and ineptitude.
And yes both Gamespy and M$ are the perfect example (although nothing can beat M$ ih ih ih), but unfortunately there are tons of other examples like the ISP which add filters and limit the bandwidth of the users... I have paid for that line and I want to use it all the time I want when I want and for what I want. stop.
If they want to put more people on the same cable/line for making more money that's their problem, right?

yeah thats what i kind a meant ... they just wanna make money and don't care about anything else...just as long as people will pay them for software.

even if there's some errors and exploits...people will still buy they'r stuff :)
