I get myself banned from a lot of game servers in Jedi Academy for pissing people off >.<

I'm looking for a proxy so I don't have to manually change my IP in my router coz usually it doesn't avoid range bans.

I downloaded proxymini but duno what it does or how it works.

i would suggest vidalia+TOR, but it doesnt support UDP.
you simply need a proxy server that supports UDP. if im correct then JK has a proxy support, but if it doesnt you can always use proxyfirewall
this will allow you to route all programs you want, thru proxy.
but you have to find proxy server yourself. theres lots in net..try googling for ''UDP proxy servers'' or something like that.
NOTE that 90% of proxy servers are quite slow (impossible to play)

i still suggest you to change ur ip. are you using some popular ISP ? if so then dont worry .. they never ban whole isp or they lose lot of players :)

proxymini does the job but it must be launched on the machine that you want to use as proxy (you -> machine_with_proxymini -> server)

How does proxymini change the IP on my router? o_O That's where I am confused...

Also, I run proxymini and it gives me some stuff and I can't do anything with it... is it working when I open it? Coz I opened it and connected to a server I was banned from and was still banned :o

reading your words is clear that proxymini is not the tool you need, since it's a proxy server and naturally is not on your machine that you must run it.

your only solution is probably the usage of an open socks proxy but other than the difficult of finding a good one (hoping it supports socks5 UDP) it's surely slow.

have you tried to use q3unban or testing the server on which you are banned with q3fill (since q3fill has the unban implemented in it) to see if the unban bug works?
usually there are some problems between the unban bug and JA/JK2 but trying just for curiosity is not a bad thing.

just search google ... this was one thing i found on quick search. im sure theres tons of free UDP proxys you can use.
just in case .. so you understand how proxy works. you connect to proxy and proxy connects to whereever you want.

they can't ban you if you use q3unban and the server is affected by this bug

never checked the tool, but as far as i know it overwrites some data so ip is not seen by server (or something like that). am i right Luigi ?

the shortest explanation is that the server uses an anti-overflow function so if you use a too long "connect" packet it can't add the \ip\ field to it to avoid the overflow making you "IPless"

q3fill already implements this function which is activated automatically by the tool.

In fact using q3fill for testing the unban bug is an excellent way for admins to check their own servers without spending time with a game client (maybe they don't have the game) or with sudppipe and so on.

whats not true. I used q3fill on some servers and it works perfect => so I get banned from them and also used q3unban metod but its show me the same pic like Louis one :/

only the open source games have fixed it
anyway there are older games in which is not clear if this problem can be used or not (if I'm not in error old versions of jk2 and so on)

I have only the patcher available in the Patches section (q3dirtravfix)

in the icculus q3 code the bug were corrected in that way, with a check on the total length
