What exact SERVER fixes are there for this? We need as much server protection as possible, and preferably as soon as too.

have you checked Luigi's site ?? patches section maybe.

as far as i know .. he has all available patches, fixes, bugs ..etc listed on site.

q3msgboom hasnt been fixed yet though >_>

what type of server is it, i can send u a jk2ded of them patched if u want...
linux or windows?
or u can do it urself if u want...
theres some here too i put on jk2deds: http://jedidog.freeforums.org/files-patches-f4.html

luigi, all i did was add the patches to the jk2deds, it still says u made the patches... i just made it more convenient :D

ok, it's good.

But if I'm not in error there are other JK2 specific bugs or not?
Anyway all depends probably by the version of the game to patch, the latest 1.04 should be vulnerable only to the bugs of the Quake 3 engine

there are jk2 specific bugs but those are fixed through a pk3...

thats in assets15 on the link i sent

and no luigi, 1.04 has all the same exploits as 1.02... just mods fixed them

I'm in the middle of testing a new version of the windows dedicated server I made which has fixes for all of the crashes I know of, including Msgboom and forcecrash which are *not* fixed in assets 15. This will hopefully be released sometime soon ... like maybe this month or almost certainly by the end of October even if I find some problem with my patches. If you are using Windows, this will be the most secure dedicated server you can get to my knowledge

dude, assets15 does force crash "fix" ... just it's a work-around like any other jk2 1.02 fix
u can always exploit a work-around still...
will u just send it to me already lol.
