Project Eden 1.02 No CD Patch

Just before posting this, I read the thread "How to use my patches", and while it sounds simple enough, I messed something up anyway. Instead of browsing to the .exe, I placed the files inside of the Project Eden 1.02 directory, and it did ask me to locate anything, it simply asked whether to patch or not. When I did, it said that it was successful, but when starting the game, it gave a this error:

Failed to open level file (Title.edf, TitleBackDrop.edn or a* .edt file)

I will continue to experiment with it, but if anyone has a better answer, I'm all ears.

P.S. If it makes a difference, it is a USA version.

Have you scanned the directory for the file make sure you have the level file on your computer.

No, when I tried to download their patch, it only produced a file title "default", which did nothing. I assume that meant that their file wasn't available.

Thanks, that worked. I suppose it a moot point now, but I don't believe the problem is how it was compressed, because the file was supposed to be 700+kbs and the default download was only 48bs.

ok got one, now the game is freezing when i start the first level.

Hi,
Project Eden depends on a windows registery key to obtain the path where it is installed.
this means if this key is invalid you will get the message which tells you about level loading failure (i.e., reinstalling windows operating system or even moving the game to another path after it is installed).
I have exported a registery file that helps fixing this and hope it fixes the problem. All you need is to run this file and all will be OK. the registery file is for version 1 but it is working for version 1.02 as well (I'm running v1.02).
GameCopyWorld's no cd patch works very well
