new games?

am I wrong or the games panorama is practically freezed?

I would like to put my hands on some new multiplayer games (free and commercials) in my spare time so if you have suggestions I'm here!

Minecraft is really popular. People all over are hosting servers, so patching unknown bugs in that game for server owners would be cool. The guy who makes it is really active in updating it and I think would definitely give credit where it's due for bugs found.

uhmmm the only doubt is the server in java but yeah it seems that this game has became the biggest hit of the past and new year

Minecraft or Wurm Online.
Both games started by the same swedish guys and both got similar functions.
Like Wurm Online more thou as it got better graphics. =D

Keep researching stuff for BF2 in my opinion :)! Or any games in the Battlefield series.

It seems we are sort of in a "dead period" right now for new and interesting games. But on the horizon is BF3, BF1943 (for pc... maybe... one of these years), and Guild Wars 2 (which is an MMO so it won't count for you), Portal 2, etc.

Hopefully we will see some good stuff this year

Oh didnt know ur not testing MMORPG's, sorry =)
But yeah, do more testing on BF2, especially 1.0 =D
Im myself trying to find a way to stop commander hackers in 1.0 which is hard as i dont know C/C++ as good as C# or Python. =)
And i can agree on the "dead period", ive been going through game stores and ign.com's whole game library just to find some game to play.

i can suggest games to play, but not exactly what Luigi wants. they not free.
Test Drive Unlimited 2 comes out feb 11, which i will definetly download.
Dead Space 2 came out about week ago.
Mass Effect 3 is coming out this year too.

Need for Speed World is free and online, but its bit like MMO. so no idea if you like it Luigi. its been out for a while tho.
I also like WRC 2010 game, its been out for a while too. its not free, but can play online without cd-key (in every server)

Battlefield Play4Free is a new one in beta. It would be nice to have a tool that didn't make you install a browser plugin (as the game requires) to run it. Maybe just bypass the browser plugin by putting in your EA Account into the tool, and having it run the launcher (C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield Play4Free\BFP4f.exe)

League of Legends is quite common these days: www.leagueoflegends.com I play it quite often, its fun but they have serverproblems almost every evening or at least after patchdays...
Looks like they use xmpp for their chatsystem, would be cool to get it working outside of their client. Some people made the same for Quakelive.
