this is probably useless but I have found no results on the search engines.
anyway for having multiple instances of the various Call of Duty games (1, 2, 4 and 5) it's enough to pass the allowdupe command-line option, so create a shortcut of CoDMP.exe/CoDUOMP.exe/CoD2MP_s.exe/iw3mp.exe/CoDWaWbeta.exe and add allowdump in "Target".
For example: c:\cod5\CoDWaWbeta.exe allowdupe +set r_fullscreen 0 or c:\cod5\CoDWaWbeta.exe allowdupe +set dedicated 1 +map mp_castle +set rcon_password adminpass
so if you click 3 times on the new link will start 3 Call of Duty at the same time

Is there a way to run secound instance of game in silent/quiet mode (no sounds)?

I guess that the option you must add to the command is: +set snd_volume 0 but I don't know the game too much
