... applied all the known unofficial fixes and you have tested it with all the known proof-of-concepts (remember to use the -q getstatus option with q3infoboom!) then the cause must be searched in the mod (if you use one obviously) |

... look our asses of to find it? Still after all the patches are on the server my server still crashes. All exploits from here sof2boom sof2guidboom q3infoboom are tested and they all blocked Still my sof2server crashes from outside. So there must be another thing i dint try yet. Plz help me out ... |

in case you're wondering why i'm asking , its because i have a server that is patched against infoboom when you use c:\q3infoboom.exe -f IP port but when i try getstatus i get something like xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx resolved to 1634231132.1852140652.201932119.202116080:2021161080 ... |

When i try to open q3infoboom it says : Windows Cannot acees the specified devie,path, or file You may not have the appropirate permissions to acces this item
Does some one knows why? |

q3unban works on servers without q3infoboom patch.. and only half the time does it work, but it still works sometimes... no i had 1 ip for 2 years, unplugged it for a day, it changed... i really doubt it's a coincidence there of them "renewing ... |

see ? this is why i said learn cmd first. FILE ofcourse. you want to execute the q3infoboom.exe not the folder :) it doesn't matter where your q3infoboom.exe is and it also doesnt matter if you rename it to q3.exe (or anything you like) all you need to do is to ... |

... it will give some other error, but it doesnt say it doesnt exist if its there). BUT if you do not know how to browse into the "../desktop/q3infoboom" folder, then its other thing. also if you DID browse in there and it says it, then it simply means you either typed "q3infoboom.exe" ... |

What was the point of that post, all i'm interested in is trying to work infoboom..it worked before absolutely fine and now it doesn't. If you could tell me exactly how to use the cmd to fix it, would be very helpful. thankyou. |

man you need to learn how to use CMD. i always say that if you don't know how to use cmd, then you should not use such tools at all and stick to the BASIC of computers (listen music and browse). however i have tutorial on youtube How to use command prompt *vista sucks and microsoft has a big conspi... |

Hmm yeah i tried it but it says, its not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batchfile. I have a folder saved on my desktop called q3infoboom with q3infoboom.c and winerr.h also the bat file for the exe but it still doesn't work. :( |

example valid for any command-line tool: copy q3infoboom.exe in c:\ when you launch the console (cmd.exe) type cd \ and then you can use q3infoboom. http://aluigi.org/about.htm#howuse |

hahahaha lol, don't have to be so harsh on them, luigi :P eragon, usually it is not the mod that protects against q3infoboom, it is a patched jaDed.exe/jk2Ded.exe so do not assume the different versions of mods have protect against infoboom :) actually, i don't think a mod can fix ... |

it's simply that you don't have q3infoboom.exe in the current directory in which you are in the console or in the directories listed in the PATH environment variable (like for example c:\windows) |

thx for the fast answer. info .. its a sof2ded 1.0.2 .. cant find a 1.0.3 version in the internet :( great results on my local server: q3infoboom.exe -q getstatus SERVER PORT ... ALL ok .. and i dont get any infos or status of the servers with it .. look like the same without -q ***** q3infoboom.exe ... |

for being 100% sure that your server is enough safe from the q3infoboom vulnerability remember EVER to test it first with the "normal" "q3infoboom SERVER PORT" and then with "q3infoboom -q getstatus SERVER PORT" for the fixes, ... |

if your server is not crashed means it's fixed, try also to add the -q getstatus option to q3infoboom for being more secure: q3infoboom -q getstatus IP port for your second doubt I don't have an answer, you could use a mod with in some way fixes that or you are using ... |
